What's Up With Hypnosis Inductions?
Tim Bartley:
If I don't use an instant induction I like to use an Elman or whatever but for the deepener I use a confusion induction.  I find it works really well especially if you are doing the very first session with a client and have no idea if they will be thinking too much.  This usually gets around that. Below is the confusion part that I use.  I change things like hearing the music in the background to hearing or not hearing anything in the background... you'll get what I'm talking about...     Seven Plus or Minus Two (Confusion induction)

Tim, I use this induction as well but please give credit where it's due. This induction was created by Terence Watts and can be found in his book Crucial!

Scott Has Been Taken...
Kevin Cole:
He is alive and well. I saw him at HTLive. He was just a little sick from accidentally gagging on a baby toothbrush. It was a freak accident, but he's OK now.

ROFLMAO, Kevin!

Personality Styles Expert
Alan Barsky2:
He has ASSED hundreds of clients of mine over the years, and is right on target, making my job so much easier.

OMG! That sounds highly unethical. :) :) :)

Your Hypnotic Confident Self.

Thanks, Barry. That's an interesting take on it. I've long felt that fear was the reason that prevented people from going after their dreams in life.

Time to go to bed. I have to get up in 4 1/2 hours to watch the Community Shield. Lack of sleep is the price to be paid for being an Arsenal fan in Arizona. Some of the matches start at 5:00 a.m.

OK, Barry. I'll bite. Why is there no such thing as confidence?

Notes for Fashion Forward Hypnotherapists attending Hypnothoughts Live! 2017

Absolutely Daniel. There's always a large contingent of Arizona people and several are presenting, including me, and I'll be glad to introduce you around. Many of us are members of the Arizona Society for Professional Hypnosis (ASPH) which meets on the first Tuesday of every month. Come by and check it out. You'll meet your fellow colleagues while enjoying fascinating lectures. http://www.hypnosisaz.com/

Hi Daniel. I'm also from Phoenix and have attended every HTLive. You have absolutely no need for a sport coat or suit. Wear whatever you wish. I walk around in sandals and shorts. It's summer in the desert!

The only people I've seen wearing suits are those that present. but even most presenters don't wear one. Some people like to dress a little nicer for the keynote cocktail reception but that is totally up to you. You won't be out of place whatever you are wearing. Afterall, there are people running around in pajamas!

Wellness Expo

This is a great opportunity to build up your E-mail list, so make sure you have a sign-up list front and center. The key is to give something away that they can only get by signing the sheet. I held a raffle for one free session from me and that was very successful in getting people to sign up that otherwise wouldn't have.

I like your idea of giving a demonstration as that will attract people to your booth. Good luck and let us know how it went.

What is your solution to clients who make appointments but then cancel?

My experience matches Barry's. I work in a business with other health practitioners and frequently get referrals from one who works with addictions to add hypnosis as a complementary treatment. The number of no-shows from this group is far greater than I get from any other issue I deal with and it's not even close.
