Hi danI live near Brisbane what are the details pleaseMany thanksJanet

Hello Dan,

Wishing you a joyous holiday season! I have not been active in the site because, I have been extremely busy with everything that I am involved here in Dade County and the hypnotherapy course at HMI. I completed and took my final exam this past Thursday December 11, 2014. I am proud of myself because, it was supposed to be an open book and I wanted to test myself on how much I had learned and retained after 11 months and I passed the final with a score of 84%. I guess that I just need to wait for the diploma. Now what? It's a new adventure and I am looking forward to begin. Thank you so much for your support. Cordially, Matilde

I have no idea how come it took us so long to become friends on this forum.

thanks Dan.

its because we some stupid rules if we buy from countries outside eu we get a lot of extra cost added to it. but i found that i could buy it from amazon. co.uk :) now i just wait for it.

send me a message if you do some training when you come closer to the north i will see if i can make it, that could be awesome.

have a good day day. :)

Hi,

I am Bala , I from Chennai,Tamil Nadu, India. I am into therapy, counselling and consulting. I use NLP as a tool and I am a NLP master practioner. I saw your posting on a topic "Are you unable to work based upon the concept that generating income would negate some or all of your benefits?", where you wanted to discuss offline by sending a friend request. So I am sent the friend request.

No, I did not know about HEA ~ I will look into it; Orlando is so close. I did attend the IMDHA conference in Daytona Beach this past May and found it very informative. Thanks!

Hi,

thanks for asking. I live in the USA and Germany sometimes. Travel a lot.

Sofie

I've known you for years, and been on some of the calls. We're in some of the same groups (yahoo, etc.) for hypnotists. :O)

Hi Dan,

Yes, LIFE can be problematic at times. : ) I believe you mentioned "pain" as the topic. Specializing in pain / medical hypnosis, any related area would be great. (I have purchased Targeting Pain, just a minute ago your Little Book of Change and already own Melissa Tier's books.)

I'm in no hurry At your convenience, please!

Namaste

Hi Dan, Thanks for your interest...Yes.. the knowledge is powerful and the lessons keep you on your toes..I usually use Rider Waite decks..I use the celtic cross spread on issues and the Karmic Spread(William C. Lamney) on where I'm at and what lessons are most likely coming my way. It's amazing how much you can learn about yourself and how beneficial the various perspectives can be for you. I have been using tarot for about 15 yrs. My wife and I have been sharing the knowledge with friends the whole time and it is ..uncanny.. how right on the lessons are. The spirit is always trying to assist us with our journeys through various ways as long as we approach things from the right perspective. Find the good and expand it...improve, appreciate and be joyful...Do you use it much and what are you thoughts about it?

Dan,

Thank you for your reply. I've ordered your book from your webpage.

Regarding pain management. Iam using Gerald Kein's methods with great success. The light-switch technique is amazing but takes too long(I'm not sure but I could be recording part of it at some point -Juleshyp the obstetrician/hypnotist records his inductions on youtube) and the coma/esdaile state is really good. I use the pinch test every time. I find the coma state a bit tricky, in my opinion it works better when I give suggestions of immobility and thenuse a convincer by asking them to try to move a hand or a leg and then I can do a pinch test. To my disappointment I have not got that waxy immobility that I should get in the coma state (I am not sure if it is a case ofhaving more sessions witha client-practice makes perfect, or giving more appropiate suggestions, I do the elman induciton at the start and I suggest that if I lift their hand it will be so relaxed it will drop - so I wonder if that is the reason why their body isso limp).

I find other inductions great as well such as the 8-word induction from Cal Banyan or even better the modified version fromJeffrey Stephens.

(I studied brief solution hypnotherapy -which was great from a therapeutic point ofviewbut it only taught me the long drawn out inductions)

I think NLP has a place (I studied NLP) but to my surprise I discovered Jonathan Chase books. He has very simple butgreat insights esp on rapport (I am now reading his book called something like that "make friends with yourself...") and so far I would recommend it to any hypnotist who would like to influenceothers! (For example NLP talks about matching and mirroring Jonathan Chase talks about finding something you like on a person (could be their hair) focusing on it and rapport can easily happen...also he talks about visualising with open eyes and he has an exercise you can do..great for the people that believe hypnosis works better with eyes closed.

My personal preference areinstant inductions and simple things. I am still searching....

Unfortunately I have never experienced hypnoanaesthesia yet - it is difficult to network/practise with other hypnotists in my area.

All the best

Vana

Hi Dan. You asked if we had met. We met through Michael Ellner at the convention in Florida ...
Since I attended Richard's convention in Dallas last month, I have spent almost all of the money alloted to my personal development and am tapped out for now. I am building the pool back up, but it won't be enough by next month, so I'll have to catch the next conference. I do appreciate the invitation. Thank you so much!
I'm in GA. I could probably drive down for at least one of the conferences. Would I need to be a member? Also, please let me know when your books come back into print...and if you need a publisher. Thanks!
Thanks Dan! I'm eager to check it out. :D
Yup, you're right, Dan. That was the title. Thanks for the reminder. You're goooood! Now I'll go back to bed, too.'Night back to ya,Gwyneth

Michael:Well you are right about getting on the All-Stars calls, this month we have Irene Cloeville from Australia as a presenter and in August it will be Dick Sutphen who will be speaking about the 'Shift' and that is a special fundraiser to help Henry Bolduc. The call itself, as always, is free with donations suggested. If you know a few others interested in pain relief, I enjoy travel. Want to set up a class out there?

Hi Dan,Loved seeing your slide show!!!
Hey dude, consider joining the medical, health, etc. group I just started. I'm trying to figure out how to edit it already to include dental. Oops. But it does include energy work, etc.
We are sailing a Catalina 28 (new to us this year). Good for two weeks living aboard but not 10 years!Health Complex was a hospital until 10 years ago and government has now turned it into complex of mainstream and alternative health providers. Good environment to work in downtown Montreal.I had the pleasure of sitting in on your NGH "Creating Change" workshop last year: very good, still have the booklet here on my desk.Hope to see you this August again.
thank you dan, it was great seeing both you and Okka in Fl. hope to see you both soon.
